Arsenal handed Chelsea their second home defeat of the season with a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge. Robin van Persie scored both goals. Christiano Ronaldo was sent off for a deliberate handball, but Wayne Rooney scored his hundredth goal in Man United's 1-0 win over Man City. Everton strikers Ayegbeni Yakubu and Louis Saha picked up injuries in the 1-0 win at Tottenham. Portsmouth beat Blackburn 3-2. Liverpool can go top of the table when they face West Ham at Anfield tonight.

Australia have thrashed New Zealand by an innings and 62 runs in the second test. The Black Caps were 203 all out this morning. Brett Lee was the chief destroyer taking 5 for 105 and Brendon McCullum was the only highlight in the batting line-up with ! 84 not out.
